Mati Gibbs is a creative professional with six years of global experience in the fine art industry, specializing in the contemporary art market.

Between 2022 and 2024, Gibbs served as the Assistant Director of Johnson Lowe Gallery in Atlanta, Georgia. Fueled by the creativity, dexterity, and fortitude of the creative community in Atlanta and across the Global South, Gibbs facilitated and promoted connections to enrich the lives and experiences of others.

During her previous appointment as Director of US Operations for Pontone Gallery London from 2017 to 2021, Gibbs expanded international recognition by cultivating artist relations, harnessing digital platforms, managing art fair participation, and facilitating sales and acquisitions, ultimately supervising the opening of a satellite gallery space in the United States.

Gibbs earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Art History from the College of Charleston in 2017 and her Master’s Degree in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in 2018.
